Where to practice English

Everyone knows the importance of language practice for language learners.  However there is not much discussion about what actually is good practice.  I have seen practice that is next to useless and practice that brings amazing improvements.  So sometimes the reason why people don’t progress as they would like is that they not only may be not getting sufficient practice but maybe they just haven’t learnt how to practice effectively. In this blog you will find 2 columns with links, on your left you will see comprehension skillslinks to practice and on your right you will find expression skills links. 

Homework assignment:

Explore all the links and write in comments what are the most interesting, funniest or most useful links for you and explain your reasons.

  1. the link most interesting for me is "English Central" because in this page I can practice speaking, listening, and can translate the word what I need, is very complete.

    I think that the most Funny link is lyrics training, because i love the music and whith this page i can practice my listening and my vocabulary while i enjoy.

    Learn English with tv shows call my attention because there are many programs really interesting and we can practice the pronunciation and the listening. Lyrics training is interesting too, is a good way to improve the listening.

  4. EnglishCentral, I found a very interesting and entertaining blog. They use an excellent method to teach the language. The videos make the learning easy and interactive.

  5. Get into British pronunciation, i found this link very striking because in this page you can learn the british pronunciation through audios with the transcript and a vocabulary. Also i like the British accent.

Read a newspaper in American English, I found this page very interesting, because there are many important news, and this news has words that I do not know , wich allow me to improve my vocabulary reading the different news , and this will help me learn to write the text with an right structure

  8. The most interesting link for me is -Learning English (Read a newspaper in American English)- because the stories are divided by levels and I suppose that this is depend on your skills.

  9. I think is the most interesting link is” lyrics training” because I like the music and I don’t understand the lyrics when I listened some song but with this link I can practice my vocabulary and listening

  10. The most interesting link in my point of view is Learn english with videos because the activity is composed for two parts listening and then you answer some questions about the video, it´s important make it because is a support to improve english where the skills is mixed there.

    "English Central" is the most interesting link for me, because I can practice grammar and pronunciation with videos of different situations of the real life, all of this is useful for improve my English level.

    i think that the most interesting link is english central beacuse there i can found a lot of tools to learn and improve my english, this link show us some videos about everything and i can practice for improve my weaknesses.

  14. after to seeing the links, i have to say that i find many interesting things. i see ororo tv in the nights, since sometime, but a think that the page was closed. TOEFL practice page is too usefull. ESLvideo have very interesting things, and english central, well... everybody talk about english central

    not only understand, it is also listening, speaking and much practice, this website allows us to enter many tools, to practice ablity speeck, listening and writing English

  17. I think the most interesting ways to learn english are " lyrics training" and "learn english with tv shows",because both programs give me the skiils that i need to improve my english,which are listening and sepaking by singing.

  19. These tools are very interesnting, especially beacause there are many topics that can be very interesting for me, between these the tv shows and lyrics training, I think that these tools can be strategic for me and with this I will improve my english skills.

  20. I think the most interestins link is English Central because i can found diferent levels, topics and skills. I saw some videos and I´m so happy with this link for improve my weaknesses.

    I should practice my pronunciation and grammar and the videos help me with this activities.
